Smooth arrangements in Makkah, Madinah

Over 2.5 million worshipers and Umrah pilgrims from within the Kingdom and abroad offered their second Friday prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. Security personnel, both officers and privates, successfully carried out safety and security plan including crowd management. They were deployed at all locations quite early in the day. At the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Maher Al-Me’aiqli, Imam and Khateeb, focused on the great reward for the good deeds and acts of worship during Ramadan including fasting, prayers, reciting the Holy Qur’an and giving alms. He stressed that the reward for the fasting soldiers protecting the Kingdom’s borders is even greater. Meanwhile in Madinah, Sheikh Abdulbari Al-Thubaiti said a fasting Muslim carries out all the acts of worship and good deeds including giving alms and recitation of the Qur’an with all happiness to please Allah Almighty and seek His reward. He added that Ramadan is an opportunity for purifying the souls. – SPA
